Maritime marvels: MS Oasis of the Seas

Oasis of the Seas - the world's largest cruise ship

It is opportune for my very first pose to be the Royal Caribbean International cruise ship, the MS Oasis of the Seas, simply because, along with her sister ship, the Allure of the Seas¸ it is largest cruise ship in the world. Her displacement is 255,282 gross tonnes, only slightly less than that of a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier.
She has a guest accommodation of 6,296 passengers at full capacity and crew accommodation for 2,394. This means she can carry a staggering 8,690 people at full capacity.
She has 21 swimming pools and Jacuzzis. The total mass of water in these pools would be enough to sink a decently-sized private yacht. The largest pool, towards the stern of the ship, is surrounded by a 750-seat amphitheatre that hosts live water shows at night.
The ship is divided into three themed areas: Central Park, Boardwalk and the Royal Promenade. Central Park contains over 12,000 live plants. Boardwalk boasts a hand-carved carousel, restaurants, shops and two rock-climbing walls. Similarly, the Royal Promenade features more expensive, high-class restaurants.

The ship's most expensive suite: Crown Loft Suite

Cruising on the Oasis of the Seas isn’t cheap. For her most expensive suite (Crown Loft Suite) on a cruise for 2 adults, 7 nights around the Western Caribbean, expect to pay about $5,500 for the cruise. The cheapest stateroom, the inside stateroom, will cost around $2,000 for the same literary.
When a guest enters the ship, a camera captures the guest’s face. Facial recognition software then sorts all photos taken by photographers and displays them in a shop onboard for purchase.
